When Windows 8 gets launched later this year, it will have a fresh, modern style that will look more like Windows Phone 7 user interface. The new logo is a real cool logo. It looks somewhat like Windows 1.0 Logo – the 1st logo of Windows when it was launched on 20-November-1985. It also looks similar to the the tiles featured in the Metro UI. Its funky and live : the color, style, texture and location of the logo will adapt to look like a part of your desktop setup.
Windows 8 is the new OS to be released later this year. It’s going to be more touch friendly : much like Windows 7 SmartPhone. Microsoft believes that in the future, your laptop, desktop or other device you use will have touch input as a standard feature.
This is the desktop screen which you see as soon as you start up Windows 8. This UI (user interface) is called Metro. It allows you to peep into the device with minimal interaction, much like Windows Phone 7 smartphones. It features apps that display live feeds from internet.
Windows 8 appears to be a solid successor to Windows 7. Windows 8 design is an admission of the fact that touchscreen is here to stay and the boundaries between Desktop PC, Laptop, Tablet PC and a SmartPhone is slowly dissolving away.
Time to open a new window and let fresh air come in.
